What is the MAP ?

A simple concept, at the service of a house anchored in heritage

The MAP worked since its construction, and for about thirty years, as the church vicarage of Verbier-Village. The priest and his maidservant lived there all year-round, while other ecclesiastics occasionally stayed there for a more or less long time. Run today as a "luxury" backpacker or a group accommodation during the winter season from November (from the opening of the ski pistes) to April and the rest of the year from May to October, it opens its doors wide to everyone respecting the values which have contributed as much to its building as to its reputation, namely the sharing, the conviviality and the opening to others. Its running, in a clearly non-profit approach and so guarantee of reasonable prices for the resort, allows it to be self-financed over 365 days.

Well-equipped and functional rooms

Built on 3 floors and looked after with great care, this non-smoking house can welcome a maximum of 25 people. It counts a certain number of common rooms : a spacious living-room (34m2 !) with flat-screen television and DVD player, the whole pleasantly heated in the traditional way with "soapstone" (wood stove typical of the region) ; a well-appointed kitchen (19m2) with dining-room and a toilet with washbasin on the ground floor just as, on the first floor, two bathrooms with shower, toilet and washbasin. The front door in the basement, secured by a digicode, leads to wide premises where one can leave shoes and ski equipment or even bikes, in the summer ; "Crocs" type slippers are also there at disposal. Lockable metallic compartments were fit out on the first floor so as to allow the deposit of valuables in a safe place. It is possible to connect for free to a high-speed Wifi network (500 Mbits/s.) wherever one is in the house.

Stylish bedrooms in an alpine decoration

Its 5 private rooms (according to the period of the year and the extent of the demand), from which two sextuple, two quadruple and one triple, are cosy and welcoming. They are all equipped with a light parquet flooring and bear an evocative name, the surrounding mountains one our heart is so fond of. Thus, according to their geographical position, they were called "Grand-Combin", "Petit-Combin", "Mont-Gelé", "Pierre- Avoi" and "Catogne". The first 4 ones are located on the first floor and have a washbasin ; the last one, the triple, is to be found in the basement. The rooms "Grand-Combin" and "Petit-Combin" are the biggest and share a generously sunny balcony since south-facing. Furthermore, for each of our beds, a complete bedding is provided without charge.

An ideal accommodation for Your holidays

The peculiarity of this bright residence, except its financial accessibility, its bigger flexibility compared to hotels and the tranquility of its location, is as well all in the fact that, a bit like a lighthouse or mountain hut keeper, a dynamic and bilingual housekeeper lives in the place day-and-night in winter, in order to be on duty at any time and better to meet each single of our guests' expectations. By way of outcome, we would like to tell You to what extent we are eager to carry everything into effect so that the MAP satisfies You in full during the duration of Your stay, following the example of a mellow silk case wrapping up the precious jewel of Your holidays
